Description
Meropenem 1 gm injection is an antibiotic that is used to treat severe infections of the skin, lungs, blood, urinary tract, stomach, and brain (eg. meningitis). Meropenem 1 gm injections are available in the market at Watran Pharma under the brand name MEROWAT-1G. Merowat-1g injection works by killing the bacteria that cause these problems, but it does not treat a viral infection.
Some people may develop side effects from Merowat-1g like headache, nausea, constipation, anaemia, diarrhoea, vomiting, and rash. These side effects of Meropenem 1 gm are usually temporary and go away as your body adjusts to the medicine. Before starting treatment with Meropenem 1 gm, you should tell your doctor if you have epilepsy (seizures), liver or kidney problems or if you are allergic to any antibiotic. While using Merowat-1g, you may be advised blood tests to monitor your blood cell count and kidney function. Merowat-1g is generally regarded as safe to use in pregnancy and breastfeeding if prescribed by the doctor.

Direction To Use

The dose of Merowat-1g injection will depend on what type of infection you have, where it is in the body, and how serious it is. You should keep on taking Merowat-1g injection for as long as you have been prescribed, even if your symptoms quickly improve. If you stop taking Merowat-1g too early the infection may return or worsen.
Safety and Precautions
- Do not consume Meropenem 1 gm injection with alcohol as it may increase the chances of stomach bleeding.
- Meropenem 1 gm injection are not safe during pregnancy and breastfeeding, hence, do not take it without a doctor’s consultation.
- Store the Meropenem 1 gm injection in a cool and dry place away from direct sunlight.
